The Norwich 20 Group is celebrating its 80th birthday this year and all members have been invited to submit six pieces for its Anniversary Exhibition at The Undercroft in Norwich in May. Being asked to choose just six pieces, representing my creative output over the years, has been rather difficult; a bit, I’d imagine, like being asked to choose your favourite songs for Desert Island Discs!
I still haven’t decided yet which ones I will submit, but I do know that the pieces will represent some of the recurring themes that feature in my work; domestic interiors, gardens, windows, landscapes, butterflies, and still lifes.
These are some of the pieces I’m thinking of putting forward but as I look through my work I find new favourites, each of which conjure up a time and a place and an emotion.
