I was very pleased to be asked to take part in an exhibition at the Brick Lane Gallery in London in December, called Art in Mind.
It got me thinking…mindful art, mind full of art, which mine has been since a shall child. However the title suggests a more spiritual quality or imaginative exploration or a dreamlike quality, so I have tried to select works which suggests those thoughts.
The pieces I hope to show will include a variety of techniques as I have always been interested in experimentation and using different methods. There will be acrylics and inks, oil paintings, collage, watercolours and inks, different surfaces for different textures, to try to express what I am feeling, and thinking about, which is mainly nature, flowers, trees, glimpses of the sea, and also domestic interiors.
As well as the works featured here, there will also be a selection of unframed pieces for sale.
